Gloves. I have incredibly soft skin that damages easily. If I’m going to take care of my body with all this hard work, might as well protect it from damage, too.

100% WITH GLOVES. I ordered gloves a bit ago because my calluses from pole vault have started hurting when lifting weights. And that limits the amount of reps I can do if my hands give out first.

I like to wear light cycling gloves. My hands are very small and the heavier padding on lifting gloves tends to bunch up around my palms and cause pain when I am lifting. I like some padding, but right now I only need a minimal amount.

its usually no gloves or just some wrist wraps for compression for me. from DB presses to deadlifts to pullups ...
the rare times I use gloves its mostly due to equipment ickiness, a personal thing. eg the iso plate row, the wide and neutral grips of the handles have the rubber cover but the narrow handle is exposed rusty metal. same as some of the barbells and the one smith machine. so I just use gloves when I need to use those.

I personally use gloves. I have a pair that covers my entire palm, half fingers and wraps/secures at my wrist. Little bit of padding and silicone grip.
I have another pair that’s just the minimal style. No padding but silicone grip, they fit just across the base of my fingers/top section of my palm.
I like both, depending on my exercises. I also have wrist wraps that I use on movements I can lift more weight than my hand strength comfortably allows.
At the end of the day, do whatever works for you. I have smaller hands that aren’t as strong as the rest of me so gloves work for me. I also feel like I am less likely to drop a weight or bar on my face when I have grippies on my hands 😂

No gloves! I used them in the past and found them useless as they don't prevent the calluses anyway. Plus, your hand sweat is gross.
If you want a stronger grip, use Versa Gripps! No gloves can compare to these straps!!!

Personally no gloves, if I need better grip on heavy pulling exercises I use straps (versa gripps) which give you 10x better grip and then just simply take them off for the rest of the exercises.

Thank y'all. I also use them for better grip - don't want the (weaker) grip to hinder my ability to lift heavier weight. How about you ladies??

only on exersices that hurt my hands otherwise....do not want to waste any edurance of discomfort towards something besides pushing my muscles

I do have a pair in my bag for the very rare occasion that a 'badge' tries to come off though.
