carlosfromspain Its actuallt a reverse hyperextension machine or "reverse hyper", used for strengthening or rehabing your lower back.

You lay on it prone with your lower body hanging, hold on to the bars and extend your legs which are hooked up to the pendulum with weights, extending your lowerback and gluts.

Highly recommended, if my gym had one I would put it in my routine.
