carlosfromspain One big one is making sure your Vit D levels are maintained above 50 as you age.

Anything that improves your rest/sleep if you are having some difficulty in that area, like slow release melatonin.

Staying well hydrated is important for recovery since we tend to be less thristy with age.

Magnesium supplementation is very safe and may help (400mg of Mg citrate, glycinate, Taurate or Malate) And its a must if you have low Vit D.

Omega 3 DHA/EPA supplementation may help as have many other benefits anyway, but need to be from a high quality company with a 5 star IFOS rating and in triglyceride form.

Creatine may help.

Others are more dubious but may still help in older adults and are reasonably safe are Taurine. NMN or MR too but its more expensive so most out there are fake stuff so needs to be from third party tested trusted company.

Alcastive I agree, we should be asking for your advice :) but I think protein shakes and creatine as well are great to keep your muscles from recovering faster, at that age you might also consider taking HGH but only in supplement form they boost your lifting better. Gym bro says there's nothing wrong in taking real HGH after your 50's to keep your muscle build but I disagree, if you can still lift and happy with your progress you won't need it. However if you feel like quiting and you can't do it any more it's a good idea to consider it. I'm not personally recommending it but that's what I would do if I reached an age that I think I cannot lift any more would do anything but not to stop.
